How to use this tool
Enter the subtotal, tax amount, tip percentage and number of people. Choose whether the tip uses the subtotal or subtotal plus tax. With a $100 subtotal, $8 tax and a 20% pre-tax tip, the total is $128.
Good to know
Tax is an entered dollar amount, not an automatic local rate lookup. Money and percentages allow up to two decimals. Tips round half cents up. When an equal split is impossible, the result shows how many people pay each cent amount so payments add up exactly. Maximum 100 people; amounts limited to $1 billion.
