How to use this tool

Enter the item cost and selling price. A $50 cost and $80 selling price gives $30 profit, 60% markup and 37.5% margin.

Good to know

Cost must be positive; selling price may be zero. Prices support cents and values up to $1 billion. Markup is profit ÷ cost; margin is profit ÷ selling price. Margin is undefined at zero selling price. Negative results represent losses. Taxes, overhead and fees are excluded unless included in your entered cost.
